California State University of Los Angeles Baja SAE

The California State University of Los Angeles Baja SAE Team is dedicated to designing, building, testing, and competing with an off-road vehicle that challenges students to apply their engineering knowledge in a real-world environment. Through Baja SAE, team members gain hands-on experience in vehicle design, fabrication, project management, budgeting, teamwork, and problem-solving.

From developing an initial concept to testing and racing a finished vehicle, students are involved in every stage of the engineering process. The team emphasizes innovation, collaboration, and attention to detail while working within demanding time and resource constraints. Baja SAE provides California State University of Los Angeles students with an opportunity to put their classroom education into practice, develop valuable technical and professional skills, and represent the university in a highly competitive engineering environment.
